The Communications Ministry has shared the details of a new digital experiment. The agency plans to combine Gosuslugi.ru, the platform for delivery of government services, with retail aggregators.

This way the government will be able to monitor each purchase on the marketplace, MK reports.

The new digital experiment has a number of obvious advantages: Russians will be able to make large commercial transactions with a lower risk of fraud, said Pavel Myasoyedov, partner and director of the Intellectual Reserve company.

This is especially important when buying cars, large household appliances, gadgets and real estate. Due to the low key rate and the subsidized mortgage program, more Russians began to think about buying apartments, and this trend is often used by scammers who place fake offers on popular websites.

“As for shopping for household goods and food items, the information obtained during the experiment can be used to analyze consumer preferences during a crisis. However, there are difficulties with implementing the initiative, first if all because a huge amount of data will need to be processed. It is important to ensure maximum security with their storage to avoid leaks,” the expert underscored.
