Sverdlovsk Region to spend $220 mio on utility lines

Private investors of the Sverdlovsk Region will invest a huge sum in the region’s utility sector.

In the beginning of 2020, some RUR 15 bln ($220 mio) will be allocated for the improvement of communal infrastructure, such as utility lines in buildings, power lines, sewer, drain and water pipes and other infrastructural elements.

The funding will allow for completing a series of major tasks. For instance, 21 municipalities will receive the opportunity to modernize the existing power lines and build new ones.

Some 1K kilometers of utility lines will be repaired or built. For instance, 22 kilometers of heating networks will be replaced in 19 municipalities; 39 kilometers of sewer pipes and water conducts will be renovated in 16 towns and villages in the Sverdlovsk Region.
