Six Tu-95MS to be delivered

In 2020, six modernized Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers will be supplied to Russia’s Far Range Aviation forces, Defense Ministry reported.

Last year, five modernized Tu-95MS aircraft were delivered, while over 40 exercises of various levels were conducted by Far Range Aviation units, so combat training plan was fully accomplished with average flight time for crews exceeding 100 hours.

In 2019 the first joint air patrols flight by Tu-95MS strategic bombers of Russian Air Force and Hun-6K strategic bombers of Air Force of China was carried out in the Asia-Pacific region. Tu-160 strategic missile carriers performed their first flights using airfields in South Africa.
