Sodium carbonate plant to receive 50-year supply of raw materials

A priority investment project to be implemented in the Perm Territory will provide raw materials for the sodium carbonate plant in the town of Berezniki for the next 50 years.

Importantly, the project is rather capital-intensive, with some RUR 3.8 bln ($51.9 mio) to be invested by 2023 in its implementation as well as building a facility to produce sodium chloride brine.

The project aims to solve several tasks. The sodium carbonate plant will receive raw materials for manufacturing its products from the EuroChem – Usolsky Potash Plant, while the latter will dispose one million tons of halite waste per year, which will definitely reduce environmental load in the Perm Territory.
