Yury Trutnev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, has launched the third and fourth autoclaves at the Pokrovsky Autoclave Hydrometallurgy Plant.
The plant will process 1,370 tons of refractory ore concentrate a day, or twice as much as the autoclave in Amursk. The autoclave unit is fully automated and is supervised by engineers who manage the processes from the control room.
The investment in the project amounted to about $500 mio. The funds were provided by the Petropavlovsk company, which is implementing the project. Contractors from dozens of countries including Russia were involved in the plant’s construction.
