Urals’ largest agricultural complex built in Chelaybinsk Region

The Chelyabinsk Region will increase its vegetable production: the up-to-date Gorny agricultural complex, the largest in the Urals, has been launched in the Ust-Katav municipal district.

The greenhouses of the agricultural complex cover an area of 25 ha. The farm’s annual capacity will be 35K tons of tomatoes and cucumbers.

The construction cost was quite high: the total investment in the project reached RUR 7 bln ($112 mio). The Foundation for the Development of Single-Industry Cities provided financial support, while the construction of the complex was funded using private-public partnership contracts.
