Open Conference of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce took place at the headquarters of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Moscow. At the Conference, Italian-Russian Chamber’s new President, Mr. Vincenzo Trani, was presented.
The event was followed by a news conference, at which Mr. Trani noted that he intends to focus his efforts on developing small and medium businesses cooperation, to help businesses explore and comprehend market situation, and to promote new strategies to advance products manufactured in Russia on the basis of Italian technologies, abroad. As he said, IT and digital services are strong points of Russia and can be employed to help both Russia and Italy advance in respective areas.
Cooperation in traditional industries – including bilateral tourism – has been successfully developed and should be maintained, Mr. Trani stressed, adding that new economy should become a further step in expanding bilateral ties.
As Mr Rosario Alessandrello pointed out, agriculture and pharmaceuticals manufacturing are the most promising areas for cooperation and most favorable for production localization in Russia with view of further exports to third countries.
