The military parade will take place in Moscow’s Red Square on May 9. Taking part this year will be 74 aircraft and helicopters, to symbolize 74 years since the end of World War II.
The rehearsal of the parade took place on May 7. Its air component was opened by Mi-26 heavy transport helicopter accompanied by four Mi-8 transport helicopters. The footage of the rehearsal was released by Zvezda TV channel.
Mi-26 is the most powerful transport helicopter in the world capable of transporting 20 tons of cargoes. Its takeoff weight is 56 tons.
