3D factory to open in Moscow

Construction of a 3D factory that will produce spare parts for trains and vehicles has begun in Moscow. The factory will be based at the Kristall plant which already has 3D printers installed.

The factory will offer a special catalogue of 3D models for its customers, TASS reports. Already equipped with 9 printers, the factory will hire workers with 3D printing skills. There is a plan to install 40 to 50 more printers that will be used for layered build-up. Ten to fifteen printers will be able to create large parts.

The company management claims that they do not plan to become the largest 3D printing company in Russia. They simply want to attract qualified producers and organize quality production. The 3D printing factory will be printing various parts, from handles, cartridges to fixtures for train interior details.
