Painting of the Mikhail Barskov sea tanker has begun in the Primorye Territory. The ship will be launched in late August and will become the largest vessel built in the region in the past 30 years.
The keel laying ceremony at the Vostochnaya Verf shipyard took place on October 10, 2015. The tanker is 80 meters long and over 15 meters wide. The hull is of the Arc4 reinforced ice class. The tanker can easily operate in the Arctic waters. Moreover, the ship is equipped with a telescopic crane and aircraft armaments for helicopters. It is the first vessel of this class produced in Russia.
