Azerbaijan’s real terms exports 12.9% down

Azerbaijan’s exports of non-oil and gas products amounted to $548.9 mio in 2020’s Q1, Azernews portal reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee’ data. Thus, compared to the same period in 2019, the volume of exports of non-oil and gas products decreased by 5.8% in actual price and by 12.9% in real terms in 2020.

According to the data provided by the State Customs Committee, 38.1% of exports went to Italy, 16.1% to Turkey, 4.9% to Israel, 4.5% to India, 3.6% to Greece, 3.1% to Russia, 3% to Croatia, 2.7% to Ukraine, 2,6% to the Czech Republic, 2.5% to Georgia, 2.3% to Tunisia, 1.9% to Portugal, 1.8% to Germany, 1.5% to Spain.

The share of goods exported to Russia (33.9%), Turkey (22.3%), Georgia (10.7%), Switzerland (8.8%), China (3.3%), Ukraine (2.4%), Italy (2.3%), Kazakhstan (1.8%), Iran 1.4%), Belarus (1.2%), the US (1.2%), Germany (1.1%) dominated in the value of exports of non-oil and gas products.

Of the total value of imported goods, 18.1% came from Russia, 14.9% from Turkey, 12.6% from China, 9.6% from the US, 5.3% from Germany, 4.4% from Italy, 4.3% from Ukraine, 2, 8% from Iran, 2.2% from the UK, 1.9% from Japan, 1.7% from France, 1.6% with Korea, and 20.6%from other countries.
