Over five years, the global network of Domino’s Pizza has grown by nearly 50% and in early March a milestone store was opened in Cheektowaga, New York, USA.Ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by company executives, while Domino’s franchise owner Allan Erwin presented a $16,000 donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Western New York Chapter, in honor of the 16,000th store.
Erwin began his career with Domino’s in 1993 as a delivery driver. He purchased his first store in 1998 whereas now he owns 37 stores throughout New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming. He is not alone – more than 90% of Domino’s US franchise owners began their careers as delivery drivers or pizza makers in Domino’s stores.
By 2028, the company intends to launch further 2,000 stores in the US and to keep launching 40 to 60 outlets in Russia annually. By the yearend of 2018, in just two years of its operation in the country, the company opened 180 restaurants in Russia, 78 of them being franchisees.
