Africa is one of the most important areas for Russia’s international cooperation and a priority of Russia’s export policy, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov told the Invest Foresight business magazine on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa economic conference.
“We primarily need to develop the contacts that have already been established between Russian companies and African countries. We are working very closely with Zimbabwe, Egypt, and Tanzania. There are also promising opportunities for cooperation with other countries. The construction industry, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology are interesting areas for cooperation. We must rely as much as we can on such formats of cooperation that create added value, not focus on primary industries only,” he said.
