Russia’s largest peat processing plant will be built in the Smolensk Region.

The investment project is being implemented by the Russian Peat Company. Over RUR 500 mio ($7.1 mio) will be invested in the construction of the facility in the Roslavl County.

Processed peat will later be used to make plant soil, various substrates and dry mineral fertilizer pellets.
