By the end of 2018, according to Expert online magazine, an unmanned robotic motorboat and a new Alexandrite minehunting ship made of carbon fiber composite will be tested in Russia.
Russia’s TASS news agency cites Vladimir Seredokho, CEO at Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard (SNSZ), as saying that Inspector boat made of composite materials produced in Russia has been designed and tested and is now to be further tested in a teamplay with a large vessel.
Seredokho noted sea trials of an unmanned motorboat may be synchronized with those of mine countermeasures ships Ivan Antonov or Valdimir Yemelianov. It is also intended to undertake a comparative analysis of the Russian motorboat and its French analogue made of aluminium.
