Tour prices will be much higher in 2019, rising by 10-30%, according to data provided by the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

The cost of trips to Turkey will increase by 10-30%. More Egypt offers on the market are probably the only chance to slow down their growth, according to TheBell online newsletter. Tours to European countries are also becoming more expensive, by around 10%. The cost of traveling in Russia will also grow, especially river cruises. Bus tour prices will also grow by 10%.

The only way to cut spending on tours is early booking, ATOR Director Maya Lomidze noted; up to 30% can be saved this way.

Next year will see an overall rise in prices. Apart from travelling, food prices will rise by up to 8% and new property by 10%. As Invest Foresight earlier reported, prices will rise as a result of the VAT hike from 18% to 20% in 2019.
