The coronavirus epidemic will start slowing down within 10 to 14 days, according to Veronika Skvortsova, Head of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency.
Veronika Skvortsova suggested that in two weeks, the number of new coronavirus patients will stop growing. For some time, the entire number of cases will still continue to increase; however, after a certain period of time, the process will be reversed and the number of daily new cases will begin to slow down, TASS reports.
Skvortsova added that once the pandemic starts to slow down, we will need to wait for the same amount of time that it took to grow – this is when the epidemic will be completely reined in. Therefore, Russia will be able to defeat the coronavirus outbreak by mid-June.
