An occupational footwear manufacturing facility had started operating in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Production materials include not only leather but also polymers and the so-called foam rubber, one of the most resistant materials used in the footwear industry.
The facility is located in the town of Chistopol, with the construction initiated by Bars Footwear Company.
Notably, the project has been promptly implemented within a short time. In March 2019, the Industrial Development Fund supported it by allocating RUR 31.5 mio ($505,030). Another RUR 13.5 mio was provided by the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan under the Development Projects federal and regional program. In all, RUR 134.5 mio ($2.2 mio) was allocated for the construction of the occupational footwear production facility.
