Primorye Territory to develop innovations in agriculture

The agricultural sector of the Primorye Territory will become more innovative.

The Kormbiosintez and Pharmasyntez enterprises located in the Nadezhdinskaya priority development area and the Agrobioeconomic Cluster launched a center that will focus on research and development and the introduction of various advanced technologies into the agricultural sector in particular and into real economy in general. Breakthrough solutions related to molecular biology and biotechnologies will be implemented in the production sector.

The two enterprises are Russia’s first companies that produce the so-called essential elements (elements that people and animals need to function but cannot produce themselves).  They include such vitamins as A, D, E, B2, B12, H, plus the so-called smart amino acids for animals.

It is expected that in four years, up to 130 developments at the research and educational center will be granted patents. The potential total investment by project participants will reach RUR 15 bln ($218 mio).
