Sberbank’s venture capital fund invests in US start-up Fetch Robotics

Sberbank’s venture capital fund managed by Fort Ross Ventures has invested in US start-up Fetch Robotics, becoming the lead investor of the round with $46 mio, the bank’s corporate website reported.

The funds will be used for international expansion and further development. The company has attracted $94 mio in total from such investors as SoftBank Capital, Shasta Ventures, Sway Ventures and others. All of them took part in the new round.

“We are glad to invest in a company that is a pioneer and one of the leaders of the autonomous robots market. The global warehouse logistics market is very large; its robotics potential is enormous. Our cooperation will help the company to enter the Russian market and Russian logistics companies to deploy advanced technology,” Managing Partner of Fort Ross Ventures Victor Orlovsky said.
