Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation currently has 50 military ships under construction, its CEO Alexei Rakhmanov said at a meeting with Vladimir Putin, presidential website reports. “In 2020, we plan to launch 14 combat ships,” he noted. “We hope to deliver hopefully four submarines to the Navy.”

“If we are speaking about the program until 2030,” Rakhmanov stressed, “the scope of construction projects is 486 vessels. We are building 42 fishing trawlers, including a 160-meter factory trawler at the Yantar Shipyard, the largest vessel in our production program.”

As the USC CEO pointed out, “Our operations have been stable for the past six years, including three years of steady profitability when it comes to company operations. Our net profit remains around 1%. Our employees’ wages are paid regularly and they tend to rise by around 7% a year.”
