Chatbots reduce HeadHunter recruiters’ workload by 83%

Messenger chatbots launched by HeadHunter in 2017 have saved 83% of recruiters’ working hours, according to Ilya Moltyaninov, Head of HeadHunter’s Mobile Division, who spoke at the Conversations conference on conversational artificial intelligence.

“HeadHunter uses chatbots for user support. In fact, they can replace the first line of operators. Since 2013, chatbots have been used in web chats. In 2017 we launched them on messengers. Our chatbots are available on Telegram and Viber but not yet on WhatsApp,” the expert noted.

According to Moltyaninov, chatbots can recommend suitable job openings to job seekers.

“They can start a dialogue with applicants. Most often, the dialogue consists of two remarks. Although sometimes chatbots can continue for up to 60 responses. Using chatbots saved 30% of the company’s resources.”

He added that HeadHunter Virtual Recruiter has demonstrated very high efficiency.

“It allowed us to conduct preliminary scoring of resumes and make interview appointments. Basically, Virtual Recruiter performs the most mundane tasks for HR specialists. It saved 83% of their time that they could spend on other work.”

Companies around the world are increasingly using chatbots to tackle standard recruitment tasks.
